Fantasies in bronze
In year 2002 Carl -W. Röhrig stated working with a new sculpture, it was completed in November last year. In 2001 Röhrig made his first sculpture that was meet with great appeal. Playing with shapes and with much love to details, inspired by his own paintings, this work of art is now completed and has a dimension of 62x33 cm .
The challenge as compared with paintings consisted of, that the line management of this work had to be coherent from all sides and from all points of view. This was accomplished with great patience. This sculpture is limited to four numbered quadruplicates. In their final composure after the cast, each single bronze got its own distinctive embodiment. Number one has already been bought by an art lover from Switzerland.
The studio price for each single quadruplicate is 9500 Euro.
This new creation from Röhrig is a rarity.

Offspring
At the 26th of August 2007 Marlene Röhrig and the father Felix Vogel delivered their son Vincent Isayah happily to the world - the family is of course very happy. Marlene continued the tradition of giving the boys in the family names of famous painters from the past, so now there is one Hieronymus (Bosch) and one Leonardo (Da Vinci) as well as one Vincent (Van Gogh).

A life in artistic creation
Since a bit more then 2 years Carl-W. Röhrig is engaged with the painting of rooms. He has already completed three big projects: In the Italian restaurant „La Prego“ in Hamburg he created more then 16 single wall paintings, of which most are known motives from the collection of paintings produced over many years by the master.

Flop advanced to a studio-star
Last summer the master Röhrig received an order of a big oil painting. He started painting with fun and enthusiasm right away, and had already been working for a week on this when he with horror noticed that the painting he had started had the wrong size. Per the order it should have been 180 x 160 cm and through a misunderstanding he had started it in 210 x 160 cm.
This little disaster markedly slowed the momentum of the master, he had no choice but starting from scratch again. This meant an arduous phase of redoing all already painted details. Such a thing can thoroughly take the wind out of someones sails. Finally the order was successfully completed, but still the started "mishap" was standing there on an easel, waiting to get completed.
Röhrig used this opportunity to work with free creation, and this with a backing of a motive that he had painted more then 10 years ago, just smaller and with water colors. Basically this became a welcomed occasion to make his oil technique more perfect. The above shown painting was created.
So the „flop“ of the summer became a successful piece of art, it is now in the studio for visitation - big, with compelling emission... a highly visible dream land... dreaming land... dreaming land? For sure a feast for the eyes.
Many Röhrig fans might not know that his works of the last 30 years mainly are painted with a water color technique . From the total of about 2000 paintings that were painted during this time, only about 70 are oil paintings, at least paintings with big formats. An oil painting of Carl-W. Röhrig is therefore a real rarity and the people that have one in their possession can count themselves lucky.
Röhrig turns unfaifthful
One day a good friend of Röhrig came in his studio and successfully convinced him to paint a motorbike tank... Till this point, this subject had never been to debate; why should he paint tanks when there is a downright airbrushing scene, that is specialized in painting hot cars and bikes of all kinds? But he got convinced and a real adventure was started.

International exhibitions
Additional to all the work that the master does in his studio or elsewhere with wall paintings, he still finds time to at, at least 12 exhibitions or artistic events in different European countries per year, personally present his art. In the year 2007 the exhibition series started with an exhibition of his paintings in Paris, directly at the Montparnasse, where many famous artists lived, worked and exhibited their works.
