Practically all of my paintings are created with two basic painting techniques

The painting to the left is done with my water color-scrape technique on a very hard painting carton. Thereby I use very sharp knives and sometimes even razor blades, to take the color off the base again. This is how the light in the paintings is made. The white of the paper is more or less unbeatable against the with color applied white. The transparency of my works is created through the use of a color spray technique, that I apply to the painting area in a glazing manner. This thin color coating then allows me, with my scrape technique to make the painting "alive".

The painting to the right, is a classic oil painting on canvas. This technique keeps thrilling me again and again because of the possibility to move the colors for many hours, which for example is not possible with the water color technique. Interesting enough the painting with oil colors makes me get completely different ideas for pictures. One could say that I love the impact and power of the oil colors a lot. All of my paintings that are more then 125 cm of hight, are made with this classic painting technique.

On the other hand I love my water color techniques because of its "lightness". I work with these different techniques in a "dancing" painting rhythm, which I treasure a lot because of my own impatience.
