Actually Carl-W. Röhrig never wanted to paint motorbike tanks, but a good friend convinced him 2 years ago, by asking him for a favor.
It turned out to be a real adventure and from this point an on the master was an enthusiastic biker. Below to the left you can see his first Harley Davidson, that he recently artistically fully remade. With no doubt it was a challenge for Röhrig to make the tanks technically perfect, painting on metal brings quite a few complications because the paint does not react as it would on canvas or on paper, and the round shape does not let the brush run over the background as usual. Additionally he had decided to not repeat the usual and generally known airbrush motives from other creative s. He made some big noise with his first two tanks at the opening event of the firm SWC (South West Customs) in Viernheim. An enthusiastic cooperation with Stefan Simon the boss from SWC was started.
The embodiment of a motorbike is however a very individual matter. Every bike-owner has his own dreams and wishes of what should be embodied on his bike. Technically of course everything is possible for Röhrig. But because of the immense expenditure of time that is needed to paint the whole "moped" there will be many a wish unrealized, as these would also have to be financed. It actually is a problem for Röhrig to evaluate these works, one can not just compare it with the worth of a usual painting. Therefor one can suppose that from Röhrig painted bikes will remain a rarity.
